Sawubona, Inc. Receives $7,500 Grant from Fairfield County’s Community Foundation

Bridgeport, CT – Sawubona, Inc. has been awarded a $7,500 grant from Fairfield County’s Community
Foundation to support its operating costs.

Sawubona provides creative expressive arts programs to up to 75 students annually, dedicating nearly all
of its budget to program materials. Grants and donations that cover operating costs allow the organization
to recruit talented leaders in the arts, poetry, music, and movement to facilitate impactful sessions. This
funding will help Sawubona expand its reach by opening an additional location and increasing the number
of creative artists on its roster.

“More importantly, this recognition supports our vision that all our children are seen, heard, and believed,”
said Charles J. Morgan, President of Sawubona, Inc.

Founded in 2021, Sawubona, Inc. has helped nearly 150 young people build resilience and mental wellness
